Osirian is an isolated kingdom tucked into the southern slopes of the Black Mountains northeast of Sicilia. Also commonly known as the Argothian Kingdom after the line of wizard-kings who rule there, Osirian is largely unfamiliar to Evenholders, most of whom know it only for the giant war-dogs bred there, some of which are large enough to be ridden by humans.
Millennia ago the land was part of the so-called Gnoblan Empire, a region inhabited by a now-extinct race of giant gnomes known as gnoblans which encompassed the Black Mountains, Carnivorous Forest, and the western sections of what are now Agorrum and Perrenor. The current King Argoth is rumored to possess a magical gnoblan gemstone which strengthens his magical abilities and control over his lands.
