The Purple Flowers is a fey-inhabited enclave that lies within the borders of the Kingdom of Evenhold in parts of the provinces of Baronia, Virrat, and Hayreach. Despite being geographically within Evenhold, the region operates as its own independent kingdom, and its inhabitants, predominantly fairies and other magical beings, usually avoid interacting with the human farms and settlements nearby. Likewise, Evenholders treat the region and its people with cautious respect and have long refrained from any intrusion or encroachment.
The enclave is ruled by a fairy known as Zaylea, Queen of the Purple Flowers, who unlike most of her subjects takes a keen interest in the wider world of the material plane. Unruly and adventurous, the queen is one of the very few fey ever to have been a member of the Guild of Free Adventurers.
The region has no officially defined frontier, but the boundaries of its magic can be plainly seen by the wild profusion of purple-colored blossoms that proliferate throughout the land.
