The "Dark Caverns" are an infamously dangerous set of caverns and tunnels located below an arm of the Great Mountains just outside the borders of the lands of Rhyl and Nival. Though adventurers are drawn to the site by rumors of hidden treasure, many have lost their lives there, perhaps due to a large dragon said to inhabit the deep chambers.
