Waringdon Keep, an Anharic stone fortification in the province of Skrimshire, is more commonly known as "Bloodfeud Castle" for the generations-long local conflict that surrounds it. Two rival clans, the Pautzis and the Spannirs, both laid claim to the castle in early tenth century, and in their struggle to seize ownership of it fought innumerable small battles and conducted (or attempted) many assassinations.
Weary of their endless quarreling, King Thorvald of Evenhold decreed in 1182 that ownership of the castle be split down the middle, with each clan controlling half. Though it didn't end the hatred between the families, the king's involvement has helped reduced the violence, and it's hoped that the upcoming marriage between two young members of each family may finally put the feud to rest.
